Hello everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend – which, for UofS students started on Friday at 2pm!  The snow hit Scranton, a little later than expected, but beautiful Scranton was covered in bright, shining snow.  Students were out and about in the snow, playing, and sledding down Taylor Avenue!

Luckily, the conditions in Scranton were manageable and roads were clear by Saturday!  Hopefully we’ll get one more snow day in Scranton before winter ends!

Also, since the snow fell, our very own, Sno Mountain, got hit with around 8 inches, which makes great weather for skiing!  So for those of you who don’t know where Sno Mountain is, grab your skiis, or snowboard, and head on up to the mountain!  Its located only about ten minutes from Scranton and there are many other activities other than skiing up in the area.  –> check it out! http://www.snomtn.com/

On Wednesday night, it’s college night at the mountain for only TWENTY DOLLARS! That includes rentals and a lift ticket, how could one turn that great deal down!?!  Also, on Tuesday nights at the mountain, you can receive a TEN dollar lift ticket!  The lodge at the ski resort is also beautiful.  It is equipped with a bar and food area.  There is also a gift shop where one could shop for gloves, and other items for skiing and snowboarding.

Although it’s a little far off, especially with all of the snow on the ground, the mountain, in the Spring and Summer, transforms from a ski resort into a water park!  Needless to say, there is plenty of fun things to do up in the Montage Mountain area.

Up by the ski area, for those of you who don’t know, is also the Shoppes at Montage. Located there are restaurants  stores, and a movie theater called, Cinemark.  Make the most of the Scranton weather and opportunities !!!
