Well, everyone, just when you think Spring is around the corner we get hit with MORE snow!!!! Scranton, and many other residing areas, are known for their infamous snow storms in March. With Spring break just around the corner, we will be spending the next few days before break with temperatures in the low 30′s and snow covering our campus. What a bummer! But just think, on Friday BREAK begins. Snow or not, rain or shine it is still a time of relaxation and fun!
Let me give you some background history and March weather. I’ll start off by telling you about the blizzard of March 1993. That was the year my brother was born and believe it or not he was born in the midst of the blizzard. The blizzard hit on March 12 and he was born March 15, 1993. My mom recalled the story for us just the other day. She said that even the hospital was basically desolate because of the amount of snow that was falling outside. This just goes to show that March loves its snowstorms!!!! So get on your snow boots, hats, and gloves because it looks like winter will be with us a little bit longer!
March should be known for its almost flourishing temperatures with sun and flowers blooming. However, we will be spending the last few days of March with the ground covered with snow, ice, and sledding!!! But like I said, don’t fret, for spring break is just days away and no matter what the weather, it is still BREAK!!!!
Enjoy your last few chilly days in Scranton before you all depart for break! Also, I hope you all had a wonderful St. Patty’s DAY !
